Simple Method to Recover Your Lost Snapstreaks on Snapchat

Snapchat Streak or Snapstreak is the number of consecutive days you have exchanged Snapchat with your Snapchat friend. It appears next to that friend's name in the form of a fire emoji and a number representing the number of days you've been in contact via Snapchat.

The emoji will disappear if you don't send a message within 24 hours and keep your Snapstreak going. However, it can also disappear due to bugs or glitches in the app. This step-by-step guide will show you how to recover your lost Snapchat Streak using the Snapchat Support section.

Simple Method to Recover Your Lost Snapstreaks

Snapchat recognizes that some things are out of our control and bugs and glitches can make even the longest streaks disappear. To reward active Snapchatters for their devotion to the app, Snapchat introduced a way for them to contact the support team and reclaim their Snap Streak.

You can use your smartphone and computer to retrieve your lost Snapstreak. The instructions are the same for iOS and Android users on smartphones.

 Follow these steps:

• Open Snapchat on your smartphone.

• Select your profile picture in the upper left corner.

• Select the gear icon in the top right corner and open Settings.

• Scroll down until you see Support and select I Need Help.

• On the next page, select Snapctreaks. This will take you to the FAQ page for Snapstreaks.

• Select let us know which is highlighted in blue.

• Under Contact Us, select I've lost my Snapstreak and send a message detailing how your Snapstreak disappeared.
• Under Contact Us, select I've lost my Snapstreak.

• Scroll down and fill out the form with your Snchapat username, phone number, other contact information, your friend's username, and more.

• Once done, scroll down and select Submit.

When reporting on Snapchat, be sure to include as much detail as possible. If you or a friend remember how many days your Snapstreak lasted, please include that information. If you remember the exact date the streak disappeared, it's also helpful to include that. Otherwise, you may find that the problem appeared after installing the latest update.

A separate line on the form asks if you've seen an hourglass icon (or an hourglass emoji) next to your Snapstreak. The answer to this question is the most important. If Snapchat decides that one of you simply forgot to send a Snap, they won't do anything to help you get your following back.

Contacting the Snapchat support team may help you get your streak back, but it won't help you if you report daily. The best way to avoid losing Snap Streaks with your best friends on the app is to follow Snapchat's rules and keep them going.

To keep a Snapstreak going, you need both Snapchatters (not just one person) to send each other Snaps back and forth during a 24-hour window. Note that snaps sent using Snapchat's Memories or Snapchat Spectacles features do not count toward your Snapstreak.
